The Harris Township Lions Club received its charter in 1952. We have sponsored Scout Troop 380 and Scout Pack 380 since then. We also sponsor Girls Troop 328. We are a public service organization. The Community has come to rely on the services we help to provide. Join us and be a part of something GREAT!

Eye Glass and Eye Exam Assistance

Lions Clubs in Centre County provide financial assistance for disadvantaged adults and children. If you live in Centre County, and need assistance in obtaining an eye exam and/or eye glasses, please contact Chuck Allen at 814-404-8453 or cwallen1024@gmail.com. Persons who do not live in Harris Township will be referred to other Lions Clubs in Centre County.

Upcoming Lions Club Events

Spring BBQ: The spring BBQ will be on May 9th (day before Mother’s Day). Phillies/Pirate Baseball Game: A trip to see a Phillies/Pirates game in Pittsburgh is planned for May 17th. Please let Harvey Manbeck or Dave Horner know if you are interested.Lions Club State Convention: The Lions Club State Convention will be held in Indiana, PA from May 14th to 17th. Contact Jim Steff for more information.Memorial Day Sight Screening: The Harris Township Lions Club will perform sight screening for children during the Boalsburg Memorial Day festivities on May 25th.Ironman: The Harris Township Lions Club will once again provide volunteers to support the Ironman event on June 14th. See Max Wandel for details.CVIM Cycling Classic: The Harris Township Lions Club will be helping out Center Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM) with their Cycling Classic fund raiser once again this year on Saturday, May 30th. It is a fun and easy event to work at. You get a free lunch, with music and beer available. Services
About us
The Harris Township Lions Club was chartered in 1952. We have been the chartering organization for Scout Troop 380, Pack 380 and the 328 Troop for Girls. We maintain a number of Boalsburg features, provide vision screening, and assist when disaster relief is needed. We provide volunteers for Grange Fair, Centre Volunteers in Medicine fund raisers, Centre Furnace Mansion, Ironman, do Adopt-A-Highway on Rt 45, and much, much more. We also raise money for various local charities through our BBQs and Grange Fair work.
